Quest Runs: Sun Sep 15th at 6:00 AM - Tue Dec 31st at 8:00 PM
This is one of 6 courses that you will complete to earn your Three Creeks Half Marathon medal. After hiking, walking or running the course be sure to upload the results for ALL participants that completed the trail with you.
Follow the gravel trail (not the paved trail). If the turn around is unclear, you should go out to South Boulder Road and then turn around at the bridge before the underpass (you will see the S. Boulder Road underpass).
Remember there won't be any course markings whenever you decide to run, so take a couple minutes to study the course map, especially the finish line. Use the Find Starting Point feature either through a web browser or with Google Maps to pinpoint your exact starting location.
Please read the rules below and best of luck on your run.
Run solo or with a team.
Enjoy running alone - we support you. Go run at anytime within the quest period. Or, if you want to run in a small group/team - check out the team runs below. Teams serve two purposes - to schedule a time for a small group to run, and/or to organize a few runners into a team. If there isn't one that aligns with the date/time you're planning to run, add one - maybe someone else will show up.
Compete - Grab your friends, create a team, and run. Your rankings will be put up against other teams.
Remember though, think of these runs just like a race. Don't feel obligated to run the pace of those you start with, but maybe hang around the finish line until everyone makes it. Or, run on some other day and your team will still get credit.
Rules:
Welcome to Your Quest!
This is more than just a regular run; it's an experience aimed at fostering motivation - a quest. The Day Quest offers three kinds of quests - Time Quests, Exploratory Quest, and Treasure Quests. Although, we believe all quests are Time Quests.
Time Quests - typically held on ideal courses to run a PR, to fly down smooth trails, or to push one's self. We require participants to upload their GPS activities to get accurate results.
Exploratory Quests - many runners find that they run the same trails regularly. This can be meditative, but in talking with many race participants, we've heard that people often register for races to explore somewhere new. We love this and want to find ideal courses that are fairly easy to follow and offer something new.
Treasure Quests - this is largely
experimental, but we think treasure hunting and adventure races are
awesome. For any treasure quest, each runner will be given a clue, or
series of clues, after they finish. The first person to solve these
clues will receive the "treasure", which could be anything from actual
gold to a prize to something else (don't expect the world, but something
unique).
